I am Jolene Bernhardt, the Director of Bluff Park Preschool. My husband and I have been married 42 years and we have three grown children. I am the very proud grandmother of two amazing grandchildren: Carson and Kinsley. In my household, we currently have six pets: three cats and three dogs. I love spending time outdoors and I love the summertime (until it gets to 100 degrees). My favorite hobbies are gardening and listening to audiobooks. My family is from Mobile, AL where we could be found sailing every chance we could get on Mobile Bay. I have a degree in early childhood/elementary education and a Master’s degree in Instructional Leadership. I’m Amanda Thomas, the Assistant Director here at Bluff Park Preschool. I’m also a very proud mom of SIX kiddos: Sawyer, Jack, Gracie, Hudson, Ellie, and our newest little love, Brinkley. Needless to say, life at our house is busy, loud, and full of a whole lot of love. My husband, Chris, and I spend much of our free time camping and cheering on Sawyer and Jack at dirt bike races. When we aren’t at the track, you can find us enjoying time together as a family and keeping up with all the fun and chaos that comes with a house full of kids! I have a background in psychology and an Associate of Science degree, but some of my very favorite lessons have come from being a mom and working alongside children and families. Bluff Park Preschool has become such a special place for me, and I truly love getting to know our children, watching them grow, and building relationships with their families.
